Every year at BuildThatBeat we scour the web to find some of the best holiday software deals for aspiring producers. It’s now that time again for us to continue our traditional
holiday buyers guide for the 2019 season. After doing this for a number of years, there are a number of deals we can typically count on every Black Friday. The biggest change we’ve seen this year for holiday days comes from a big growth in sample pack deals, and a lack of deals from the DAWs themselves.
Also, as we say every year, if you’ve been using software from “a friend,” this would be a great opportunity to purchase for yourself at great discounts. There are a few companies that choose to forgo Black Friday and instead focus on December deals. That said, keep checking back as we update this list throughout the holiday to stay in front of the offers. If we miss any deals, let us know in the comments below and we’ll be sure to add them.
DAWs
Ableton Live – Unfortunately we don’t see anything for Ableton Live yet this year. Last year they were also strangely absent from the deals as well. This could obviously change so please make sure to check back if you aren’t too trigger happy for Ableton.
Fruity Loops – This one is also a bit of a surprise. Historically there’s been a 25% discount over the holidays from Image-Line, but nothing yet this year.
VSTs
Native Instruments (NI)– Native Instruments is bringing their annual 50% off deal back once again for 2017. Native Instruments (NI) is probably best known for their ‘Massive” synthesizer which has historically been one of the most used VSTs in EDM production. Not a bad time to pick up NI products. That said, this seems to be the same from year-to-year so no big rush if you can’t afford it this time around.

Sylenth1– Arguably one of the most used VST’s across the entire industry, Lennar Digital’s Sylenth can be yours for 25% off of retail price. Just make sure when you head to the webstore to download, you use the discount coupon code: BLFR2018 at checkout to save about $40 USD. One important note for everyone is that this is meant as a BLACK FRIDAY ONLY deal. The code expires on November 27th.

Other
Black Octopus– If you’re not familiar, Black Octopus is a fantastic resource for royalty-free sample packs. The packs are extremely high quality and very reputable. You might be familiar with some of their work: Leviathan and Leviathan 2 which contain over 6GB (over 5000 samples) of Dubstep, DnB, Neuro, Glitch and EDM sounds. Right now, that specific pack is only $40.
Loopmasters– AKA “the sample boutique” is running a massive sale across their entire site. If you’re looking to scoop up some new inspiration or a few samples so simplify your workflow, this might be the perfect opportunity.
