Hans Zimmer’s Film Scoring Masterclass – Music Producers Rejoice

0

It was recently announced that Hans Zimmer is jumping on the Masterclass train to teach film scoring in his first ever online teaching series. Shortly after the Deadmau5 Masterclass was announced, Hans Zimmer threw his own hat into the ring to talk about film scoring, composition, and his own creative process. Music producers of all backgrounds should consider looking into Hans Zimmer and the masterclass, as his background and experience transcends genres. Speaking of Deadmau5, he and Hans Zimmer are pals so I’m curious as to who encouraged the other to be a part of this program.

So who’s Hans Zimmer? He is the man behind the music for some of the biggest movies over the last 20 years. If you’re a fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, The Dark Knight, Interstellar, or Gladiator, then you’ve heard of Hans Zimmer. He’s created the memorable soundtracks to these movies and move. Fun fact: he’s the one you can credit for hearing the BWAAA inception sound that you hear in every single movie trailer nowadays.

The trailer seems a bit short and doesn’t really seem to go into a ton of detail quite yet as to what is covered, but there is a ton of excitement in the air around this program. Film composers are some of the most talented and successful producers in the world. Their mastery of composition is next to none and they have a true grasp on live instruments and in-the-box production. This should be a fascinating learning opportunity for producers looking for a stronger understanding of their hobby from a different angle.

We’re going to leave you with a very inspiring quote from the man himself at the end of the video:

“This is a musician’s life. Everybody tells you not to do it and to get a real job. When all is said and done and we’ve built the highest high-rises and we build the fastest machines, there’s still going to be room for somebody to tell your story or someone to write your piece. of music. The seconds of your life are ticking away. If someone tells you there’s a rule, break it. That’s the only thing that moves things forward.”

Time to make things happen!
